BENEKOV PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER PLANTS
BENEKOV has been focusing on energy for over 60 years. We have been producing heating technology since the company was established in 1955. We launched our own development and sale of solid fuel automatic boilers in 1995. We have become the leader on the Czech market in this field and we have supplied over 30 thousand 800MW devices since operations began. Apart from the Czech Republic, our boilers are also used in households throughout Great Britain, in industrial companies in Russia and on farms in Australia.
In 2018, we joined forces with a business partner that specializes in designing and supplying services and equipment in the area of solar energy and together, we have created the new BENEKOV ESCO concept. This includes the offer of complete energy efficient services for homes, cities or companies. The key is to combine heat production technology (from automated boilers running on coal and pellets) with electricity production technology from photovoltaic power plants. We are not “green activists”, we don’t think that solar energy should be the basic element in energy systems, but it should be interesting complement to energy structure of countries. We see the current enormous global-wide pressure to promote renewable sources of energy. With regard to the generally anticipated increase in the prices of electricity, we consider photovoltaic power plants to be an exceptional perspective. In cooperation with BENEKOV ESCO partners, we offer owners or property operators a way to save money on energy, while getting a quick return on investment.

PV PANELS
We only use mono-crystalline panels for our PVPP, which have been proven effective in operations in the EU since 2009. The robust structure with a load bearing of up to 5400pa, anti-reflexive glass and technically proven functionality even during low radiation not ensures the PVPP’s reliable performance under regular conditions but also during worse conditions.
- The anti-reflexive glass increases the absorption of sunlight and decreases losses caused by self-cleaning when it rains

INVERTERS
The basis of economical PVPP operations is using the best and most reliable inverters with low consumption and ability to effectively cover consumption at every stage. The Benekov solution is above and beyond the standard and it also ensures about a quarter of the costs of the plant’s own operations compared to the regular “package power plants“.

BATTERIES
The battery is the biggest part of the PVPP investment. It significantly reduces the network overflows, thereby making operations significantly cost-effective. Benekov offers batteries that are developed to ensure maximum efficiency of electricity generation, while reducing potential overflow to a minimum. Therefore, owners of Benekov PVPP in homes don’t have to deal with contracts from electricity suppliers. They can simply use most of the electricity for themselves, which is not the case for common “package power plants”.

THE ROOF CONSTRUCTION
The roof is a relatively small part of the overall investment. However, its quality cannot be underestimated because the PVPP’s operational safety for the next 30 years depends on it. Benekov uses a unique technical solution, which significantly reduces the panels’ installation time, yet ensures precise levelling compared to the regularly used elements.
The structures are delivered at lengths of 2.2m and 4.2m. This simplifies handling and makes it possible to combine all panel performance options on the roofs.
The technical solution allows for easy and precise placement of the panels. The result is high quality that looks good on the roof. All of the structure’s elements are made of aluminium or stainless steel.
OTHER RANGE OF PRODUCTS
For selected buildings, it is possible to choose a so-called “sunflower” solution instead of the traditional roof structure. The advantage is up to 40% higher generation of electricity per 1kWp, which is achieved by optimizing rotation throughout the day. This solution is only applicable for buildings with a single-phase network.
The pressure from the EU leads to increasing the share of electric cars on the market. However, there is a lack of charging stations available. In certain situations, it is possible to use a PVPP to generate electricity for cars. Our company recommends using the charging stations in front of companies, where it is possible to re-charge the battery throughout the day, like for hybrid, plug-in cars.
In places, where infrastructure is being developed, it is necessary to also address outdoor lighting. It is possible to use solar lamp posts in places with no lighting (new sidewalks, new subdivisions) and places with less traffic. The investment costs for such a solution are lower than the costs related to building regular public lighting posts and there are no operational costs. Benekov makes its own version of posts and supplies various solar lighting options for individual applications with individual parameters, calculated for the specific application.
